Looking for a good car mechanic or service? Car manufacturers require cars to be checked periodically and regularly. The small service is part of this. Driving many kilometers often means that the car gets a complete check of vital parts such as tires, lights, wiper blades, steering and oil. If you drive only few kilometers per year, then sometimes a minor service supplemented by an engine oil change is sufficient for reliable mileage. Of course, parts that wear out due to aging, such as tires and distibution belt, should always be replaced on time.
During the major service, the mechanic checks your car on many important points. Items such as the suspension, tires, shock absorbers and exhaust are inspected. The service also includes various technical activities, such as an oil change and the replacement of oil, air, fuel and interior filters. Here, the garage assumes the maintenance intervals prescribed by the car manufacturer. Often defects come to light during a major service. These will be addressed in consultation with you. Common additional work during a major service is the replacement of brake pads and brake linings, defective bulbs, ball joints, tires and wiper blades. Periodic timing belt replacement also coincides with the specified service interval.
